This handsome scarf is handwoven using the traditional backstrap loom. The scarf has stripes in muted shades of brown and grey. The stripes alternate between heathered stripes and rows of horizontal lines. The scarf measures approximately 8" wide by 70" long.
This beautiful scarf was woven on a backstrap loom by a group of 15 weavers called Las Flores de Peña Blanca (The Flowers of Peña Blanca). The women have been weaving for many years and formed together as a group so that they could help find markets for their products and help provide for their families. As always, this scarf is fair trade.
