This wooden spoon is both stylish and functional and will add a little flair to your daily cooking. The spoon is made from tropical hardwood, that is either collected or purchased as scraps from local carpenters. Actual wood design may vary due to the piece of wood used to make the product. This spoon is made entirely by hand with no power tools.
This fair trade item was handcrafted by the group, The Spoonmakers of Peten. They started in 2002 with 4 families and have now expanded to a cooperative of 11 families. Many of the members of the group are health promoters in their communities and a percentage of their sales is donated to health programs.
