Gray and White Arrow Basket
This lovely basket is handwoven using pine needles and thread. The basket has an arrow pattern on it in shades of white and gray and is accented by gray stitching on the rim. The basket measures approximately 9" in diameter at the mouth, 6" in diameter at the base and 3" in height. It looks great as a stand-alone piece or as part of the Gray Collection.
This fair trade Guatemalan basket is handmade from pine needles by a group of women artisans in the mountains trying to sustain their families. The artisan group was originally founded after the civil war by war widows and orphans as a way to support themselves. The group started out by making woven bracelets, and now makes beautiful pine needle baskets.
