Sage Squares Lidded Basket
This beautiful lidded basket is hand-woven using pine needles and thread. This basket features color block squares that follows up the side of the basket diagonally . The color block squares include a deep turquoise, sage green, and white. This basket matches the Sage Squares Table Center and the Sage Green and Turquoise Table Center linen, all apart of the Sage Squares Collection. The basket measures approximately 7.5" in diameter and 6" in height with the lid.
This fair trade Guatemalan basket is handmade from pine needles by a group of women artisans in the mountains trying to sustain their families. The artisan group was originally founded after the civil war by war widows and orphans as a way to support themselves. The group started out by making woven bracelets, and now makes beautiful pine needle baskets. Purchase of this product helps the artisans to support their families and Sharing the Dream to support our programming in Guatemala.
