This handsome wooden flour scoop is the perfect kitchen tool regardless of if you're a master baker or just making a pan of bars at home. Made from hand-carved tropical hardwood, this flour scoop measures approximately 8" in length, 2" in width, and 1 1/2" deep. The wood used to make the scoop is purchased as cast-offs from carpentry shops or collected in the jungle. The scoop is finished in beeswax and is food-safe. Each scoop is unique due to the piece of wood used to make it.

This fair trade item was handcrafted by the group, The Spoonmakers of Peten. They started in 2002 with 4 families and have now expanded to a cooperative of 11 families. Many of the members of the group are health promoters in their communities and a percentage of their sales is donated to health programs.
