The Elder Center Bead Group is made up of young artisans from Santiago Atitlan, who earn a fair wage for their work and have stable employment. Working with the Elder Center Bead Group gives the artisans access to new skills and the ability to refine their creativity. The Bead Group contributes to Sharing the Dream’s goal of fostering local sustainability.
Proceeds from the jewelry support the Elder Center, which provides three meals a week, access to medical care, and a place of community to more than 60 local elders.
