This lovely table runner is handwoven using the traditional backstrap loom. The table runner is woven using 100% cotton thread in a classic maroon and is accented by a large step pattern embroidered in as the runner is being woven. The embroidery is black and white, and the weaving measures approximately 14" wide by 29" long without the fringe. The ends of the runner are knotted to give it a finished look. The runner matches the Maroon and Black Pine Needle Centerpiece and the Maroon and Black Basket.

This beautiful centerpiece was woven on a backstrap loom by a group of 15 weavers called Las Flores de Peña Blanca (The Flowers of Peña Blanca). The women have been weaving for many years and formed together as a group so that they could help find markets for their products and help provide for their families.
