This Blue and Grey Step Pattern Basket is the perfect accent piece to any room. Handmade using pine needles and cotton thread, the basket has a repeating step pattern in two rows along the side. The basket measures approximately 6.5" in diameter at the base and opens to 11" in diameter at the mouth. The basket stands approximately 3.5" tall. The basket looks great as a stand-alone piece or when paired with the matching Blue and Grey Pine Needle Centerpiece.

This fair trade Guatemalan basket is handmade from pine needles by a group of women artisans in the mountains trying to sustain their families. The artisan group was originally founded after the civil war by war widows and orphans as a way to support themselves. The group started out by making woven bracelets, and now makes beautiful pine needle baskets. Purchase of this product helps the artisans to support their families and Sharing the Dream to support our programming in Guatemala.
