Versatile and beautiful, this 13" spoon is hand-carved out of Gravilea wood, a tree used to shade coffee plants. This spoon is perfect for all of your cooking and serving needs.
This fair trade Guatemalan spoon is hand-carved by a group of young men artisans from San Lucas Toliman called Los Cuchareros. All of their spoons are made entirely by hand using tools such as machetes, mallets, and wood carving knives, and the wood used by this group is collected, not harvested. The spoons are finished with beeswax so that they are food-safe. The sales of this handmade product helps to support the artisans’ families, as well as a group of elders in the community of San Lucas Toliman.
