Green Trees Pine Needle Basket
This Green Trees Pine Needle Basket would look great in a variety of décor settings. The basket is handwoven using cotton thread and pine needles. The basket features green trees on the sides and is accented by brown stitching. It measures approximately 6" in diameter at the base and opens to approximately 10 1/2" at the mouth. This fair trade Guatemalan basket is handmade from pine needles by a group of women artisans in the mountains trying to sustain their families. The artisan group was originally founded after the civil war by war widows and orphans as a way to support themselves. The group started out by making woven bracelets, and now makes beautiful pine needle baskets.
