This lovely basket is handwoven using pine needles and thread. The basket has an arrow pattern on it in shades of white and gray and is accented by gray stitching. The basket measures approximately 10 1/2" in diameter at the mouth, 6" in diameter at the base and 2 1/2" in height. It looks great as a stand-alone piece or when paired with it's matching centerpiece and table runner.

This fair trade Guatemalan basket is handmade from pine needles by a group of women artisans in the mountains trying to sustain their families. The artisan group was originally founded after the civil war by war widows and orphans as a way to support themselves. The group started out by making woven bracelets, and now makes beautiful pine needle baskets. Purchase of this product helps the artisans to support their families and Sharing the Dream to support our programming in Guatemala.
